It's time for your daily fashion fix. I'm Christine Ong here with CASHAK TV. Hitting the runway is the debut of the True Religion Swimwear line, at the 2010, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami. The collection was designed by Sea and Sun Swimwear who also create the Ed Hardy and Christina Audigier swim lines, the style was inspired by vintage elements as well as a retro "hippie identity", the designer says the 70's have a strong influence on the collection, we asked the designer if they are trying to reach customers who already wear True Religion jeans or are they looking to reach a new audience? They said- "both, we want everyone in our bikinis". Celebrity fans include Jessica Simpson and Milla Jovovich, check our shopping directory online for stores that sell True Religion Swimwear. Trends in this collection: vintage patterns and colors, design traits from denim jeans.
Daisy Duke has nothing on this look. Check out this vintage button up shirt, red and white plaid print, sleeveless, attention getting low neckline, it's paired with denim hot shorts, it's a great look to sport at the lake before getting wet in your bikini, we asked the designer what makes a swimsuit sexy, they summed it up in just one word, quote- "confidence".
Next we see the country girl's favorite tie up halter top, mini shorts with stitching that looks like pockets on a pair of jeans, notice all the contrast stitching details, this is a popular trend in jeans that carried over to this swim collection. It's accessorized with antique metal bracelets.
Next we see plaid bandeau, small ruffles on the top and bottom edges, they added to the vintage feel, string tie bottoms, strands match the top's plaid print, The bikini resembles denim with gold studs. It's great design for that sexy girl next door type. The collection is made of high quality Italian fabrics.
Check out this number, smoke color halter, notice the stitched emblem that matches the design found on the back of True Religion Jeans, It's styled with a long bead necklace, side tie bottoms with jean like button accents, it's a hot look to wear at the pool.
Next we see a zebra print bandeau, it has elastic edges for a great fit, it's matched with a pair of cut off shorts that are worn open with a bikini bottom underneath, it's very provocative style, the designer seeing the swimwear being worn from a "poolside [in] Vegas" to a "backyard BBQ", adding quote- "no matter where you [are], [you'll] feel great".
Rock'n more of that vintage style in this look, tie-die slide halter with a leopard print on top, low rise bikini brief bottoms, have all the guys purring while strutting this number on the beach.
Next we see a gold stud detailing on this bikini, it's another popular trend in jeans carried to this swim collection, rustic brown suede, pleat details. It has low cut bottoms with more gold hardware on the sides, long danging ties, It's accessorized with a gold chain necklace, we see lots and lots of gold chains accenting looks on the runways for Summer 2010.
Wow look at this next number this foxy halter bikini adds a twist, snake skin texture top with dark brown straps, mid rise bottoms that also mix the tan tone with contrasting antique brown shades, notice the stylist did not use earrings on the looks in this collection, but many bangles and bracelets, this helps to keep the style more natural while avoiding a glammed up look.
Next a metallic gray design, pocket like details, sporty mid cut bottoms with angular cut accents it's topped with crystal studs, our editors pick this number as the best look of this collection, it combines vintage trends with an ultra modern color and finish.
Last up on the runway we see more contrast stitching on this look, dodger blue halter, banded bottoms with long ties, it's contrasted with a vintage flower print, lots of rustic bead bracelets complete this look, the designer says the perfect accessories for True Religion Swim Wear are their cover-ups, a pair of sexy sandals and of course sunglasses.
